What Happened
Content creator and professional truck driver Tobias Wagner, known as the "Elektrotrucker," has completed the first major stage of his world tour in a Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 that he converted into a motorhome. He set off from Hanover on September 20, and his route took him through the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia and Bulgaria before reaching Türkiye. In mid-October he arrived at the Mercedes-Benz Türk plant in Aksaray, having covered around 3,500 kilometers and made just three charging stops. Wagner is now travelling through Georgia.

He is travelling through Georgia as the journey moves into Central Asia.
“The first stage through Europe has gone very well. Thanks to the long range of my converted eActros 600 motorhome, only three charging stops were necessary, and all of them went smoothly. Now the particularly exciting part of the journey begins for me. As I travel through Central Asia and onward to China, I'll be operating under completely new conditions.”

Along the European route, Wagner was welcomed by local Daimler Truck teams as well as Mercedes-Benz Trucks dealers and general distributors. The gatherings focused on exchanging ideas with customers, partners, employees, media representatives, and stakeholders from politics and business. They also served to gather practical experience with electric long-haul transport across national borders. The full expedition is designed to cover approximately 45,000 kilometers, with the goal of completing the entire route in no more than 80 charging stops.
Previously from Daimler Truck AG
Daimler Truck's battery-electric eActros 600 is already reaching customers: on October 20 we reported that Dutch outsourcing partner Egala took over 175 Mercedes-Benz Trucks vehicles, mixing 155 diesel Actros semitrailer tractors with 20 battery-electric eActros 600 as it invests in CO2e-free transport.

Why this matters
The trip is a real-world, cross-border test of electric long-haul trucking rather than a lab exercise. Daimler Truck says the stops along the way were used to exchange ideas with customers, partners, dealers, employees, media, and stakeholders from politics and business, and to gain practical experience with electric long-haul transport.
