What Happened
Donkervoort has made the D8 GTO-JD70 available in a Bare Naked Carbon Edition (BNCE). More than half of all 70 planned JD70s have been sold, with some ordered with BNCE. BNCE gives customers the choice of a clear lacquer over their carbon-fibre body panels or a coloured clear lacquer, reducing weight from around 700 kg to 694 kg in road trim.

“The woven carbon remains the same. We use specially developed inks mixed into the clear coat to create the look of the colour in the fibre. We can also match the interior coloured carbon pieces to the exterior bodywork.”
- Exposed Carbon Upgrade: shows carbon on side panels, engine-bay wings, bonnet scoop, etc.
- Hypercar Carbon Weave for Carbon upgrade pack: reduces weight with different fiber weave.
- Full Exposed-Carbon upgrade: entire car in exposed carbon, including exhaust cover.
- Full-Exposed Coloured Carbon: colored carbon bodywork, available in green, red, blue, gold, grey.
Why this matters
The Bare Naked Carbon Edition reduces weight and allows owners to see and customize the carbon fiber structure, enhancing both performance and personalization.
