5 seconds faster at Spa-Francorchamps vs JD70
715 kg
€198,000 (before tax)
What Happened
The Donkervoort D8 GTO-JD70 R is a track-only version of the JD70, designed to be five seconds faster per lap at Spa-Francorchamps than the road car. It features a 2.7:1 steering rack, adjustable Bosch M5 Clubsport ABS, and Nankang slick tires. Despite its extreme performance, the car weighs just 715 kg and is built for endurance racing, with predicted tire life of over 1000 km and brake pads lasting 5000 km.
“The changes we made were all considered during the JD70 development program. We made the JD70 R much faster on every racing circuit than the JD70, so naturally we also concentrated on crash safety as a priority.”
