Previously from DS Automobiles
DS Automobiles is already active in SailGP alongside its Formula E program. Its DS Automobiles SailGP Team France was scheduled to compete in the Portsmouth Sail Grand Prix, with wing trimmer Leigh McMillan returning from injury and Margaux Billy joining the Women's Pathway Trial.

Why this matters
DS Automobiles' exit removes one of Formula E's most successful manufacturers, ending a program the brand says fulfilled the objectives set when it entered in 2015. The electric-racing effort produced learnings in powertrains, energy management and efficiency that feed road cars such as the DS N°4, N°7 and N°8, which offer up to 750 kilometres of electric range. Fans losing the team can still follow the brand's new competitive outlet, SailGP.
