Hyundai India to raise prices by up to 1% from September
Hyundai Motor India will increase prices across its range by up to 1% from September, passing through part of the cost pressure that has squeezed margins.
- Up to 1%
- INR 1,512 crore
- 9.3%
What Happened
Hyundai will apply a model- and variant-specific increase of up to 1% across its Indian portfolio from September 2026. The company said it had absorbed part of the cost rise before deciding to pass on a limited portion to buyers.
The automaker pointed to commodity prices, operating expenses and wider macroeconomic uncertainty. It had already raised prices by as much as INR 12,800 in June.
The latest decision follows a difficult first quarter: EBITDA fell to INR 1,512 crore from INR 2,185 crore, and the margin narrowed to 9.3%. Hyundai is still targeting an 11–14% EBITDA margin for FY27.
Why this matters
The move is Hyundai India's second price increase in this financial year and shows how input inflation is reaching showroom prices even as the company tries to protect its margin target.
