What Happened
Lancia has returned to the Paris Motor Show as a leading protagonist with an increasingly complete range, after coming back to Europe with the new Ypsilon and making its successful return to rallying. The centrepiece is the New Lancia Gamma, which opens a new chapter in the brand's renaissance and makes its first appearance at an international motor show as the flagship of the range. It is shown in three interpretations - Hybrid, BEV and HF Integrale - alongside the Ypsilon HF and the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, five vehicles in total that Lancia says embody its Grace & Grit philosophy. The brand says 2026 has already taken it back to the top of the world with the WRC2 Team Championship title. Orders for the New Lancia Gamma officially opened today across Lancia's European markets.

Best-in-class aerodynamic efficiency that Lancia says contributes not only to range but also to quietness and comfort at higher speeds.
Lancia says the New Gamma was designed, developed and manufactured in Italy at Stellantis' Melfi plant, which it describes as an integral part of the project rather than simply a production site. The model arrives 50 years after the first Lancia Gamma of 1976, whose Gamma Coupé is one of nine historic icons inspiring the brand's new era. Styling cues include the illuminated Lancia Calice at the front and a T-shaped rear light signature with floating aerodynamic elements that reinterpret the iconic Veneziane from the original Gamma. Inside, Lancia promises segment-leading rear passenger roominess and a 560-litre luggage compartment, with more than 60% of the interior's aesthetic surfaces made from sustainable materials. A 16-inch central display and S.A.L.A. (Sound Air Light Augmentation), which brings audio, climate control and lighting into one ecosystem managed by touchscreen or voice, sit within an interior concept Lancia calls Italian Home Feeling, along with the Lancia Glow ambient lighting and the iconic coffee table.
The first Lancia Gamma is introduced, becoming one of the most authentic expressions of 1970s Italian design.

Lancia officially returned to the FIA World Rally Championship in 2026 and, with the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, secured the WRC2 Team Title in its very first season back. The brand holds 10 World Rally Championship Manufacturers' Titles, six of them won consecutively between 1987 and 1992, and remains the most successful brand in the history of the competition. Its renewed rallying presence now runs from WRC2 to the ERC4 and Junior ERC categories, a programme aimed at nurturing both cars and young talent. The Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale stands at the summit of that project and is on the stand as the most direct link between Lancia's new era and its extraordinary sporting heritage.
Previously from Lancia
Motorclaw previously reported that the new Gamma would make its international motor show debut at Paris 2026, in hybrid and fully electric forms including a 375-HP all-wheel-drive HF Integrale. Before the show, the model was presented in Rome at Italy's Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, with production at Stellantis' Melfi plant and around thirty Italian suppliers, and was unveiled as a fastback crossover arriving fifty years after the original Gamma. Lancia Corse HF had also closed its first WRC season at Rally Italia Sardegna with the WRC2 Teams' World Championship already secured.

Why this matters
The Paris show is the biggest stage yet for Lancia's revival, and the New Gamma gives the brand a flagship and a return to the heart of the C-segment. Buyers in Lancia's European markets can order the car from today in hybrid or electric form, including a 375-hp all-wheel-drive version. Production sits at Stellantis' Melfi plant in Italy, which Lancia calls an integral part of the project.
