What Happened
Maruti reports 15,13,574 Ertiga units from March 2012 through August 2026. The latest run contributed 95,646 vehicles during the opening five months of FY2027, following 1,98,327 units in FY2026.
Maruti Suzuki has led India's utility-vehicle market in every fiscal year from FY2018 onward. The Ertiga and Brezza have been the principal contributors, with the Ertiga accounting for about one-third of the company's 46.3 lakh UV sales over the period covered.
The model's strongest month since launch was July 2026, when it reached 21,606 units. That monthly peak came as Maruti's utility-vehicle franchise remained the company's main volume engine.
Why this matters
The MPV remains a central part of Maruti Suzuki's utility-vehicle franchise and has helped sustain the company's market leadership in that segment. Its current-year run rate also puts a two-lakh fiscal-year total within reach.
