Scania introduces Longline cab with extended space for series production

What Happened
Scania has introduced the Longline cab into regular production, combining its CrewCab and S-series high-roof cab using the company's modular system. The cab will be produced in Laxå with chassis built in Södertälje, and is offered as a low-volume, factory-certified solution for customers seeking extended space, comfort and flexibility.
The Longline cab is designed as a flexible platform with clearly defined mounting points, allowing customers to design interiors according to specific requirements. Initially available in two length versions – 28 and 31 – both with a high roof, the interior height exceeds two metres, providing standing room for most drivers.
“The cab is not only about space, but about creating a better working environment for drivers. This is increasingly important for our customers.”
“We simply don’t add things that aren’t needed, limiting waste in line with our sustainability targets.”
Why this matters
The Longline cab helps truck operators attract and retain drivers by providing a better working environment, addressing a key challenge in the transport industry.
