Scania unveils 71-tonne G 560 mining tipper at India construction-equipment show
Scania has shown a five-axle G 560 Super 10x4 tipper in India, pairing a 71-tonne operating rating with a 560-hp engine for mining work.
- 71 tonnes
- 560 hp
- 2,800 Nm
What Happened
The truck was presented at bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026 with three steerable front axles and heavy-duty driven axles. Scania specifies a technical gross vehicle weight of 71 tonnes and a Hardox 450 rock body with about 32.5 cubic metres of capacity.
Power comes from Scania's 13-litre Super engine, rated at 560 hp and 2,800 Nm. The cab includes digital instrumentation and fleet telematics, while customer trials and demonstrations are under way at Indian mining sites.
“The Super is already an important part of our offering in India, and with the reveal of the G 560 Super 10x4, we are taking the next step by bringing more products with Super power to our customers.”
Why this matters
The launch broadens Scania's Indian heavy-truck offer beyond its existing mining portfolio. Field trials will determine when the new configuration moves from an exhibition reveal to regular commercial supply.
