What Happened
Following the debut of the limited-edition Sea-Doo RXP-X Senna 350 — a tribute to legendary racing driver Ayrton Senna made in partnership with Senna Brand — BRP Inc. announced its 2027 Sea-Doo personal watercraft and pontoon lineup. The lineup is headlined by the all-new Rotax 1630 ACE engine producing up to 350 hp, the most powerful engine ever offered from the factory, and includes a new Spark X model with a 110 hp Rotax 1000 ACE engine. The 2027 pontoon lineup also marks the fifth anniversary of the Sea-Doo Switch with rider-inspired updates.
“From our most powerful PWC lineup to date to the fun-loving, easy-to-ride character of the Spark and unmatched versatility of the Switch pontoon, we continue to shape how people experience life on the water. The all-new Rotax 1000 ACE engine, built on the proven 900 ACE platform, is available in three variations: 60, 90, and 110 hp. The 110 hp version increases the Spark's top speed by 15 percent while improving power-to-weight ratio, delivering stronger acceleration, sharper handling, and more responsive performance. The Spark family expands with the new Spark X, also available with the Trixx package; both feature the 110 hp engine and Intelligent Debris Free (iDF) system, which lets riders clear debris from the pump using handlebar-mounted controls.
- Standard Speed Regulator and boarding step
- Exclusive colorway with color-matched deck
- BRP Audio-portable System (also available as an option for the Spark X Trixx package)
The Rotax 1630 ACE engine now delivers up to 350 hp, making it the most powerful engine from the factory, and it powers the GTX Limited, RXT-X, RXP-X, and the limited-edition RXP-X Senna. The 10.25-inch touchscreen display, introduced last year, is expanding to the GTX and GTR-X. This brings enhanced connectivity across more of the lineup.
The 2027 Sea-Doo Switch marks five years since the first model hit the water, with consistent improvements. The 10.25-inch display is now available on all Switch models with 230 and 300 hp engines, and the Switch Sport gains rear corner doors. The Switch Cruise with Tech Package and Switch Cruise Limited 18' offer a factory-installed double bimini option, and all 230 hp models receive an upgraded 176 L fuel tank. Every Switch unit gets an updated automatic bilge pump that detects and pumps out excess water in the engine bay.
Why this matters
For first-time riders, this means the entry-level Spark now comes with up to 110 hp and a 15% higher top speed, making Sea-Doo's affordable line more thrilling without losing its lightweight, approachable feel. The 350 hp Rotax 1630 ACE gives premium models a significant power boost, while the expanded 10.25-inch touchscreen and Switch updates like a larger fuel tank and rear corner doors make day-to-day use easier and more connected.
