What Happened
Geldhauser Linien- und Reiseverkehr GmbH & Co. KG is rejuvenating its fleet with ten new low-entry buses from the Setra MultiClass range. Nine vehicles, each with 45 seats, will operate on routes in the district of Starnberg on behalf of Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund GmbH (MVV). A further bus, with 43 seats and an extended special-use area, will join the Alpenbus fleet, connecting the towns of Murnau, Penzberg, Bad Tölz, Miesbach, and Rosenheim along the Alpine corridor.
All ten two-axle buses are equipped with the latest driver assistance and safety features from Daimler Buses, including Sideguard Assist 2. The system supports drivers on both sides of the vehicle during turning and lane changes, helping detect moving obstacles and warning the driver when visibility is restricted.
