Lamborghini marks 55 years of Super Veloce, from Miura SV to hybrid Revuelto SV

What Happened
For more than five decades, Lamborghini's SV designation has marked the most performance-enriched versions of its V12 models. The letters SV, for Super Veloce (Super Fast), first appeared 55 years ago. SV variants add power, reduce weight and are produced in limited numbers for enthusiasts. The lineage began with the 1971 Miura SV and continues today with the Revuelto SV, which was introduced at Monterey Car Week in California in August 2026.
Miura SV debuts with a 4.0-liter V12 producing 385hp, a 0-100km/h time of about 5.5 seconds, a top speed well over 280km/h, and 150 units delivered. It features a reinforced body, improved cooling and enhanced comfort.
Diablo SV launches, 40kg lighter than the original, with a 5.7-liter V12 rated at 510hp, 0-100km/h in about 4.5 seconds, enlarged air intakes, refined aerodynamics, optimized suspension and brakes, and rear-wheel drive.
Murciélago LP 670-4 SV arrives with a 6.5-liter V12 producing 670hp, 0-100km/h in about 3.2 seconds, roughly 100kg lighter, new aerodynamics with rear spoiler and front splitter, all-wheel drive, and racetrack tuning. Only 350 coupes and 50 roadsters are built.
Aventador SV is introduced with a 6.5-liter V12 producing 750hp, 0-100km/h in 2.8 seconds, lighter carbon-fiber body, refined aerodynamics, and a 600-unit production limit.
Revuelto SV, the first hybrid Super Veloce, debuts at Monterey Car Week with a naturally aspirated V12 combined with hybrid tech, delivering 1,065CV and 1,425Nm, in a limited run of 1,963 units.

The Revuelto SV is the first Super Veloce with a hybrid electric powertrain. It combines the emotional appeal of a naturally aspirated V12 engine with the raw power and efficiency of hybrid technology, delivering 1,065CV and 1,425Nm – the highest performance figures ever recorded by a production Lamborghini. Produced in a limited series of 1,963 units, it represents the most extreme interpretation of the Revuelto, featuring enhanced aerodynamics, lightweight engineering, a newly developed suspension, next-generation braking technology and the dedicated Pilota driving mode.
