What Happened
Motor Coach Industries (MCI) announced that its J4500 continues to be the best-selling motorcoach in North America, a position it has held since 2004. Introduced in 2001, the 45-foot coach quickly rose to the top spot and has remained the most widely purchased model in the new coach market across the U.S. and Canada, according to the Motorcoach Builders Survey by the American Bus Association.
“Since 2004, operators have consistently selected the MCI J4500 as their preferred 45-foot coach. There has been only one year the J4500 was not the top seller — during the pandemic in 2020 — and even then, it ranked second by less than one percent.”
