What Happened
Mercedes-Benz has revealed the new C-Class Limousine and T-Modell with combustion engines, describing it as the most comprehensive technical upgrade in C-Class history. Order books open on August 18, 2026, with German prices starting at €41,045 excluding VAT (€48,844 including VAT) for the C 200 Limousine. The entire engine range is prepared for the upcoming Euro-7 emissions standards.
“The new C-Class proves that continuity and innovation are not a contradiction. With its sporty elegance, electrified drives and intelligent support from MB.OS, it offers what drivers really need: proven reliability and innovative technology that creates real added value in everyday life. This is how a familiar classic becomes a modern companion.”
The exterior gains a new, illuminated radiator grille with chrome frame and a more vertical orientation, twin-star-design headlamps, and a newly shaped front apron. A light projector in the side sills projects an animated Mercedes-Benz pattern on the ground when doors open, and the exterior mirrors project the Mercedes-Benz star. Two new paint finishes, Lavender Silver metallic and Moody Sky Grey metallic, join the palette, along with new 18-inch wheels and additional 17- to 19-inch options, including two new 19-inch AMG wheels. The AMG Line Plus is offered for the first time on the C-Class, adding black exhaust trim, the Night package, sports seats with red stitching and red seat belts.
Inside, the C-Class pairs a 12.3-inch instrument cluster with an 11.9-inch portrait media display. The fourth-generation MBUX runs on MB.OS and introduces the AI-based MBUX Virtual Assistant, which combines ChatGPT, Microsoft Bing and Google Gemini and can hold complex conversations, remember details and start music or answer questions about share prices and ski conditions. The optional Burmester 3D surround sound system with Dolby Atmos uses 15 speakers and a 710-watt amplifier, with 3D sound adjustable in ten steps. Ambient lighting offers 64 colours and ten colour worlds, and new upholstery colours and trim pieces complete the refreshed interior.

The T-Modell estate offers up to 490 litres of boot space, expanding to 1,510 litres with the rear seats folded. The rear seat splits 40/20/40 and folds individually, and a power EASY-PACK tailgate is standard. The cargo cover and divider net are each stored in separate cassettes.
Why this matters
The C-Class has defined the mid-size segment since 1982 and is Mercedes-Benz's best-selling model family, so this update shapes what many buyers expect from a premium sedan or estate. New plug-in hybrids offer up to 100 km of electric range, all engines are prepared for Euro-7 rules, and MB.OS keeps the car updateable via over-the-air software.
